One of the words we used to describe Theresa and Pat’s wedding theme was “Hygge,” a Danish and Norwegian word that describes coziness and the feeling of well-being and contentment. Theresa and Pat’s wedding was exactly that: a celebration of two families coming together, surrounded by the warmth and comfort of Theresa and Pat’s love for each other and their families.
Held at The Lodge at Snow Valley, we chose a soft color palette that included dusty blue and soft sage, with accents of gold and plenty of florals and greenery to create a romantic, yet cozy atmosphere. Their outdoor ceremony was officiated by their friend, Terry, and they included Filipino wedding traditions to honor Pat’s heritage.
Truly a labor of love, Theresa and Pat’s wedding contained many meaningful details. Each detail, from the hexagon arch and centerpieces, crocheted doilies, calligraphed place cards and homemade pies, were lovingly made by the couple, or their loved ones, also known as the “DIY Batallion.” At the reception, the couple’s niece, Kara, and her spouse, Denver, arranged and performed the song for their first dance.
The evening was kicked off with Kara & Denver’s arrangement of “Numa Numa,” and the energy on the dance floor was non-stop until the end of the evening.
P.S: Also a fun thing - Pat is a huge Marvel fan... so of course, we took the time to hide little Marvel Easter eggs for him to find throughout the night.
